Commercial Exhaust Hood Cleaning
IPC provides exhaust hood cleaning to keep your business safe and compliant with fire codes and inspections, as well as for business insurance requirements.
Under the National Fire Protection Agency, NFPA CODE 96, all commercial kitchen hood systems must be cleaned by a professional company and have a certification of completion for local fire inspection approval.
The main purpose for kitchen exhaust hood cleaning is to protect the business from a grease fire that could burn the entire building and take lives; but it also provides a much cooler environment for the kitchen crew and an aesthetically pleasing look with a nice shine.
Unlike many other hood cleaning companies who only clean the hood section of the exhaust system, IPC cleans from the exhaust roof fan down into the shaft as far as accessible. The fan housing and blades are cleaned and belts are replaced as needed. The entire hood section inside and out is degreased and polished and light bulbs are replaced if needed. We also offer hood system filter/baffle cleaning at the time of hood service.
A dated certificate of completion is placed on the hood for fire inspectors to see. Typically exhaust systems are cleaned on a quarterly basis, depending on the type of business.
